O.L.E Contents Gauge Calibration
Are your O.L.E fuel tank contents gauges delivering precise readings? We calibrate them so the level you're reading is the level you actually have — on site or off.

What an O.L.E gauge actually measures.
An O.L.E contents gauge is a hydrostatic system. A sealed pressure probe hangs near the bottom of the tank on a cable, wired back to a wall-mounted display unit. The probe does not read volume — it reads the pressure of the column of fuel sitting above it.
That pressure is converted into a depth, and the depth into litres using the dimensions of your particular tank. Accuracy is quoted at ±0.25% of tank capacity, and the unit can feed a building management system over a 4–20 mA or Modbus output.
So two separate things have to be right before the figure on the display is right: the sensor, and the tank profile it is being converted against. Calibration is how you confirm both.
Even reliable gauges drift.
Over time, wear, environmental factors and mechanical drift will pull the most dependable gauge away from the truth. Regular calibration keeps the reading honest.
- Accurate fuel measurements
Avoid the costly errors that follow from an incorrect reading. - Compliance with regulations
Stay on the right side of safety and environmental requirements. - Optimised fuel management
Maximise efficiency by knowing your exact fuel levels at all times.

How calibration works.
Our experienced technicians carry out a thorough calibration of your O.L.E fuel tank contents gauges.
Initial assessment
We evaluate current performance and identify the discrepancies between what the gauge reports and what the tank actually holds.
Precise calibration
Gauges are adjusted to meet manufacturer and regulatory standards, using dedicated calibration software.
Comprehensive testing
Accuracy is verified across the full measurement range — not just at a single convenient point on the scale.

Specimen report. Figures are illustrative — every job produces one of these against your own tank.
A reading you can put in front of an auditor.
Calibration is only worth doing if it is traceable. Every job produces a record of what was found, what was adjusted, and what the gauge reads across its range once we're finished.
